SKILLS project 2024 activity report:
- We organized a focus group interview on January 23, 2024, as part of the SKILLS (Strengthening Key Competences in Agriculture for Value Chain Knowledge) Erasmus+ project. The results of the interview will play a key role in developing one of the project's outcomes, an agri-food production toolkit.
- Within the framework of the SKILLS project, the first three project outcomes have been completed:
- PR1: Baseline study on employment challenges and potential for circular agriculture
- PR2: Digital course in green skills
- PR3: Agrilingua Practicum
- The development of PR4 (Tool in agri-food production) and PR5 (Digital course in circular agriculture) is ongoing, and these will soon be available on the project website.
- As part of the SKILLS Erasmus+ project, in which our association is a partner, the fifth project meeting took place in Miercurea Ciuc/Csíkszereda on April 15-16, 2024.
- The SKILLS Erasmus+ project multiplier event was held on May 23, 2024, at the University of the Aegean (Pantelidio, Myrina, Lemnos). Participants from partner countries joined the event online.
- On July 18, 2024, at 10:00 AM, our association organized a webinar to present the results of the SKILLS project to agrotourism entrepreneurs, representatives of agricultural associations, and other members of the target group.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
The main objective of the project is to contribute to the development of up-to-date skills of various groups (farmers, students studying agriculture) by introducing and promoting the concepts of circular agriculture and green growth. It also aims to modernize the study programs of the faculties of agriculture making them more attractive to future students.
The project is co-financed by the European Union.
